# Remove food from My foods

> Removes a food from My foods. Past meals and recipes keep it.

`DELETE delete_food`

Meals and recipes keep the version of a food they were saved with, so removing a food never changes what you logged.

It takes the same input as [Delete a food](https://splot.health/docs/api/foods/delete) in the API.
