# View photos

> Shows your assistant photos saved with your meals and foods.

`READ get_photos`

Your assistant gets each photo and a link to it that expires after ten minutes. Splot only shows the photos; what they show is your assistant's reading.

The API has no equivalent: meals and foods return their photos' paths.

## What your assistant is told

The tool's own instructions, word for word, as every assistant receives them.

> Look at photos saved with the person’s own foods and meals. Images in meals and foods whose path starts with food-photos/ are these; pass up to six of those paths. Returns each photo and a link that expires after ten minutes; never present the link as permanent.
