Deleting Your Splot Account

You can delete single records whenever you like, or delete your whole Splot account with everything in it.

Deleting individual records

Open a meal or food in the Splot app and delete it, or ask a connected assistant such as ChatGPT to delete it. The rest of your journal stays as it is.

Deleting your account

In the app. Tap your avatar at the top of your journal, tap your account under Account, then choose Delete account. The next screen lists what will be deleted; choose Delete account again and confirm. You are signed out and your account is gone.

On the web. Sign in at app.splot.health/account and choose Delete account. The next page lists what will be deleted; choose Delete my account to confirm. You are signed out and your account is gone.

By email. If you cannot sign in, email privacy@splot.health from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. We confirm that the request comes from the account holder, never by asking for health information, and complete the deletion within 30 days of that confirmation, usually much sooner.

If you sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm first. This also disconnects Sign in with Apple from Splot, so Splot no longer appears under the apps using your Apple ID.

Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your records first, ask privacy@splot.health for an export before you delete.

If you subscribe to Splot Pro, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.

What is deleted and what is kept

Deleted straight away:

A connected assistant can no longer read or change anything once your account is deleted.

Deleted within 30 days: backup copies that contain your data. We never restore deleted information from a backup into normal use.

Kept:

Copies held by an assistant. An assistant such as ChatGPT keeps what it already received under its provider’s own terms. Ask that provider to delete those copies.
